Hello again,

I hope you’ve all had a glorious Bank Holiday weekend! We have definitely been spoiled weather wise; there’s something about the sunshine that just instantly makes everything just that little bit sweeter…

Of course, higher temperatures and warm rays of sunshine also mean another thing – ditching that winter wardrobe of ours and dusting off our favourite summertime garments. Is it just me who thought they’d never see the day? What a long winter it’s been! I was starting to fear that I’d be living in cable knit jumpers and overcoats for always and eternity.

If you follow me on  Instagram, you may have caught on to how much I am adoring tortoise shell buttons at the moment. They seem to add a touch of quirkiness to a piece of clothing whilst still withholding that minimalist touch we all know and love – A statement button without making too much of a statement. They’re definitely a must-have this spring/summertime, and my wardrobe is soon showing a vast array of garments sporting these beauties, I must apologise to my bank account…

I evidently made no exception when it came to investing in this beauty of a dress. I had previously purchased the navy blue version, so I had some hesitation at first whether I really needed the white one too. Well, I soon came to the conclusion that of course I did. I sized up for the white edition because although the blue dress fits like a dream and is rather flattering, I found myself craving a more relaxed feel. I feel as though a casual, looser fit provides this garment with even more versatility than it already possessed. I try to aim for versatile pieces quite often – I can picture this being worn on a beach with sandals, yet also with some heels when going out for dinner… it’s all up to the one wearing it. Regardless of where or how you choose to style this dream of a dress, it’s one hundred percent a winner in my eyes.

Despite the sun showing its face with all its glory, I can’t seem to distant myself from my favourite autumnal hues when it comes to putting together an ensemble. I feel with such a bright white piece like this you can experiment to your hearts desire. As a result, I am free to stay in my comfort zone with my favourite brown shades while feeling summery and cool at the same time…
